Thank you Jeff. I think it was lucky for me he chose that branch which jutted out a bit or I might never have spotted him that day.
Very interesting story. This is a great pic to visualize your comments and it is the sign of a good photographer to know their subjects so well as you do here by knowing their favorite location.
Thank you for your kind words Clifford. These birds always seem to provide great poses and every photographer loves that. I've developed a keen interest in all the birds I photograph and find them all pretty amazing, each in their own way.
Splendid capture Heather. The image portrays your fact nicely. I always appreciate learning the habits of the wildlife being photographed. Nicely composed and I really like how one branch curves and flows along the head of the cormorant and the same branch curves in the opposite direction of the cormorant’s chest subtly framing the bird.
Love that beautyful shot with cormorant composed with green trees. Color and details are great. Super that you did the shot on purpose to show their quivering habit. Interesting palm feet details and that very special looking tail. Well done Heather.
Thank you Yves. They were hard to spot that day and I was just about to give up when I finally saw this one. It always seems like once you catch sight of one it's easier to pick out the other birds too. Needless to say I was happy to get this shot.
