Beauty of a shot Heather. Your kindness to the grasshopper was rewarded with this shot. Composition, light, focus, colour…very pleasing.

Thank you very much Debra. Once he was free he was eager to go to but paused just long enough to give me literally only a couple of shots :)

Amazing shot Heather. Great job. I have seen (and shot) many of those for the last 15 years and it is the first time for me too. Perfect framing and that compo with the long green leaf and that red flower is just remarquable, Bravo.

Thank you Yves, much appreciated. I've photographed a number of them too and always thought they made great subjects for the camera but this one really stood out for me.

Thank you so much. He was tangled up in a spider web when I first noticed him, so I freed him and he headed toward the flowers. You can still see a bit of the webbing underneath him because he wanted to be off and running before I could clean it all off.

Description
This colorful character caught my eye while I was watering the flowers on my deck. Apparently they're not uncommon but this was the first one I had come across.
