Yellow Tiger - Days of Summer

Wow! Amazing colors and compo with that butterfly that is not easy to approach. The faded background with strong blue make it for a very striking image. Well done Heather.

Thank you Yves, always appreciated. This butterfly was just flat out gorgeous and the lighting at the time brought out the best in the background colours.. I felt very fortunate to get this one too.

Debra Plett

Stunning composition with very rich colours. The flower and butterfly stand out nicely against the background. Great way to relax and enjoy the moment. Beautiful.

Thank you Debra, always appreciated. It was very windy, which added a sense of motion that I like to see in an image like this. It's always a treat to see these little guys and to be able to capture the moment too.

Clifford Dupuis

Nicely captured with great DOF. nice detail and colors also

Thank you Clifford, much appreciated. I felt lucky to get this one. The tigers seem to be pretty restless this year and they don't settle for very long.

You know it's summer when the yellow tiger swallowtails come out. Nothing beats watching them flutter around the trees, endlessly of course, and then finally having one settle down for a drink of nectar long enough to get that photo you're after.
