That's what made me think of a school portrait. They use backgrounds like that. It's really rare to get a clean look. I was lucky in this instance. Most of the shots from this day were littered with branches.

Description
A portrait of a barred owl in hunting at dusk. No rodent was safe before those eyes. I don’t bait or harass owls. I treasure every time I see one. Here in southern Ontario we are usually blessed with a number of visiting owls in fall/winter. I hope that everyone behaves responsibly when they are fortunate enough to find an owl.
