An excellent capture of the mother keeping close watch over her family and no doubt the photographer too, lol. She and her mate have done a fabulous job of raising all three chicks so successfully. A wonderful image and series, Debra, and very inspiring too.

Thanks Heather, yes in this shot she was keeping a close eye on me. As usual I did not outstay my welcome. I really enjoy following their summer journey.

The smallness of the Osprey is a nice contrast to the largeness of the area, Debra. I like the lighting on the water and how the bird sits on the edge of a light and dark patch which truly does help to make it stand out.

Thanks Harold, agreed she does seem pretty tiny when photographed from above and further away from me. Also I think putting her at the bottom of the composition makes the landscape take over the shot. thanks again.

Sharp shot at the lady Debra. Appreciate that I have a bird view of the domain where the osprey fly. Like the color tone of the gravel and the water. The bird really stands out from the background. Nice nice.

Hi Yves, I think CANGEO is having some technical difficulties. I know I have replied to this but it is not coming through. It is a nice spot for the lady to watch over the nest as well as for the photographer even though it is quite far away.

Thank you Yves, these gravel pits are quite beautiful and do attract a fair bit of wildlife. The water is usually a beautiful blue, however with the smoke I find colours are not quite the same. The female does have a great spot for watching the nest and getting away from the juveniles. Thanks again Yves.
