Like the way you composed that shot Heather. You gave that robin a pretty good look. Bad his mate won't see it. The soft white of the background is genius. Very stricking picture.

We wonder sometime if birds and animals can see colour, Heather, but often the environment wildlife are in seems to have some of the same colours as in the tamarack and robin, a nice healthy looking robin in a great composition.

Thank you so much Debra. This was taken through the branches so that's probably the rusty looking part.. I was happy just to catch him in a good pose before he decided it was time to warn us again :)

Great composition Heather. The soft foggy background surrounding the Robin and the Tamarack branch give the image a very tranquil feel. I like how the Tamarack branches have a bit of the rusty colour of the Robin’s breast. Beautiful.

Description
Taken on a foggy morning as a robin perched in a tamarack tree keeping a close eye on passers by near the nest site. He wasn't shy about letting us know when we got too close. My dog Pixie and I managed to get dive-bombed a time or two even though the nest was about thirty feet away. May 17, 2021.
