Great shot Debra. Love the feeling the image portrays of what the Eagle is actually doing.

Debra Plett

Thanks Clifford, yes he was keeping a close eye on the ravens and not giving up his lunch. From a distance I could see the ravens even flying at him into the tree. They moved off as I moved closer.

Jenny Stevens

Nicely shot Debra. It is not always easy to get a good focus shooting around branches. Well done.

Debra Plett

Thank you Jenny appreciate your comments. I was excited to see what I stumbled upon so I decided to give it a shot, happy I did.

Yves Langlois

Super shot Debra. Love those shots through the branches. Natural look. You got the head realy sharp and luckyly free of branches. On the enlarge mode the lighting on the head is awesome.

Debra Plett

Thanks Yves, I was pretty excited when I realized the Ravens were circling above an Eagle. The first few shots did have branches through him. I slowly made my way to a better position.

Heather Mellon

That's a great shot Debra! The ravens just love to pester eagles in hopes of an easy meal I suppose.

Debra Plett

Thank you Heather, yes I do believe they all look for an easy meal. I think the Eagle had the leg bone of a small deer he had a lot of trouble carrying it when he flew away.

Harold Fleming

Nice focus among all the branches, Debra! That looks like quite the meal he's got hanging off the branch.

Debra Plett

Hi Harold, yes it was quite a piece of meat. I believe it was part of a leg bone from a small deer. There were other Eagles in the distance flying over a particular spot. I think this guy wanted to eat in peace and quiet but that wasn’t happening.
