Gallows Hill is an iconic stretch of Yonge Street in Toronto where a pivotal event in the Rebellion of 1837 occurred. During the last Ice Age this steep hill formed the shore of Glacial Lake Iroquois. This is a time exposure looking north up Yonge Street, with a car making a left-hand turn in the centre of the street. A ghostly pedestrian has just crossed the street. I had just a few seconds to make this photo before the light changed and the high-speed traffic would run me over.
