I agree! That much snow makes for a very different type of light than it would in the summer, with everything else being equal. The world in these parts can become a big soft reflector. A true advantage of living with such chilling conditions for so many months of the year. Thanks for taking the time to view and comment, Paul.

The evening previous this image being taken, there was a snow storm with very strong wind and plenty of snow. The result was a nice backdrop for this majestic great gray owl.
