Great pov on this shot. A very eloquent portrait of this beautiful bird protecting her nest. Excellent tones and detail too!

Debra Plett

Thanks very much Heather.

Yves Langlois

I like that Debra. Nice to have news from the family. I recognize the nest with the orange net in the bottom. The blue one is new. The yellow eye well match the blue sky. The fluff feathers around the head gives the head a attractive look. composition is perfect.

Debra Plett

Thanks Yves, still hoping to see the heads of chicks stick up above the nest very shortly.

Harold Fleming

Good shot, Debra. You caught the eye nicely. I love the black on the sides of the face

Debra Plett

Thanks Harold, these birds can be very animated with their head movement and the way the wind catches the feathers on the back of the head.

Description
Female Osprey scans the sky being very protective of her nest. The male was across the road watching from a hydro pole. At this point I still cannot see any chicks, however the female Osprey continues to sit high on the rim of the nest and will not leave the nest at all.
