Thank you for the comment Heather. I am getting to it. I am getting more familiar whith the use of the 100-400mm. The chalenges are not the same. With the 100mm macro the chalenge was to get really close to the subjet without frightening it. The 100-400mm requires a minimum distance of 3 meters to shoot. I is not in my reflex to get back instead of get closer. And backing is sometime a nightmare because of branches, water, mud and other difficulties. But all those chalenges adds up to the value of the shot.
I know what you mean Yves. I'm constantly switching my lenses and when I don't have my shortest lens handy it's always a challenge trying to get those 'macro' shots with the 300 mm. I've missed a lot of nice shots because it's a tricky adjustment to make. You did a great job on this one so keep up the good work!
Great shot Yves! Your efforts really paid off with a beautiful close-up of this dapper looking fellow.. great tones and textures too!
