Description
I was taking photos of a squirrel in our backyard. She/he was digging its head completely under the snow to get at the nuts that were under the bird feeder. I was shooting through an open window and the squirrel was a little wary of me but was going about its business. And then it bolted. A bobcat had jumped up on our back fence. Clever squirrel, it ran towards the tree and therefore towards danger but was able to climb up the tree to safety just before the bobcat could get it. We have lived in our house for 20 years and this was the first time we had ever seen a bobcat in the neighbourhood.
