Description
This is Green Island Lighthouse, the northern most lighthouse on the West Coast of Canada. Established and erected in 1907 it was set to notify mariners that they were now in Canadian water. The lighthouse has been manned since it became operational in 1908. Green Island gets snow a few times a year, but what makes it unique are the winds. We can go weeks on end with winds at a steady 110 km, with gusts.
