I am very happy that the Mute Swans, Cygnus Olar, have returned to the roadside pond in Guelph Ontario Canada and especially happy that I could view their courtship ritual. The graceful, Mute Swans are the elegant birds of Russian ballets and fairy tales. These Swans mate for life, together forever, and showed their devotion on this day in the calm water of the pond with the tall reeds and grasses as background. What a lovely courtship ritual to view!
