Description
While snowshoeing through dense woods on a beautiful -5 degree new years day, we got the surprise of a lifetime. In one of the few bright openings of the narrow pathway stood this beautiful Canadian Lynx, no more than 10 feet away. It looked at us curiously for about 30 seconds, all the while I held my breath, trying to capture a photograph of this seldom seen ghost of the woods. It took one last glance at us, before it disappeared back into the woods, perhaps never to be seen again.
