Description
A northern yellow-shafted flicker chick takes a frustrated peck at it's father's breast plumage. As part of the fledging process, the parents will gradually reduce feeding quantities to make their chicks feel more hungry and thus expedite an urgency to leave the nest. The chicks, though, know well when they're are getting short changed and don't take the dwindling rations so lightly.
