Alongside

Description

This was shot along the Na Pali coast on the island of Kauai. We went on a boat tour, and we must have seen at least 100 dolphins, including both spinners and bottle nose. My wife and kids, as well as another couple were sitting in the front of the boat watching the dolphins, and the captain was keeping the boat sort of pointed towards them. It was hard to get much for good photographic sight lines, but that was okay, because I was enjoying watching how excited my girls were while watching them with their babies. Good fortune was on my side this day, as a mother and a baby came and surfaced alongside the boat. It all worked out great in the end. I got to watch the dolphins, my family and I got a shot of one of the babies. It was a win-win-win situation for me. Have a great day.
