Nice work Allen!

Thank-you Shelley, Ramona and Jeannette for your visits and comments. Great Egrets have finished their nesting activities for this season, and are now showing up in good numbers away from their nesting areas, sometimes by the dozens. In Ontario Luther Marsh, Holiday Beach and the Niagara River are just three of the areas where several dozen can be seen. There are many other locations where smaller numbers are congregating at present, but those numbers will build until late September or even October before they head south.

Hi Allen, I like this shot...well done...

Description
I caught this trio of Great Egrets appearing to follow the leader. By this time of year, they have more or less finished their nesting, and have moved on to other wetlands to feed and build their energy levels before their migration in the fall. This group was part of several dozen that were spending time at St. Clair National Wildlife Area, along the east side of Lake St. Clair.
