The Omega Constellation is a family thing for repliki Richard Mille rm 38 me. It started with my great-grandfather(!) purchasing his in 1966, at age 84, as he needed a watch. He passed away in 1976, and the watch ended up with my grandfather, who had also owned a Constellation since 1969. Sometime in the 1980s, my father received it, and he has cherished it since.We will return with a hands-on review of the Grand Seiko SBGY040 and SBGW321 European limited editions. I expect to be dazzled when I see them in person and will hopefully capture the dials in good lighting. For now, feel free to check these out in your local Grand Seiko boutique — as long as you're in Europe.I've added several other Omega timepieces to my collection since then, and through this journey of collecting, I've been able to learn more about the world of watches, and make a lot of friends around the world.A movement of which the production ceased a few years ago (although a brand like Tutima sourced enough of them to deliver Lemania 5100 based watches up till last year).The dial features a little tag that shows the original VIN (vehicle identification number) of the Mustang that was used for this specific watch.This is easily among the sportier watches you will encounter from Hermes. Its case size of 41mm puts it in what the company calls the TGM category (TGM being short for "Tres Grande Modele," or "Very Large Model." Its true, this watch does wear larger than its nominal 41mm size, in part owing to those large asymmetrical lugs. But any potential weightiness is mitigated by the fact that the case is made from titanium. In fact, the case feels downright light on the wrist.Interestingly, I noticed that deep scar on the lower-right lug, but it didn't bother me at all.The main draw with this wonderfully sized 38mm piece is the dial – mostly because it's the only thing that's really changed about the watch. Seiko describes it as capturing "both the classic and modern faces of Ginza."
