Description
While in Source Lake in Algonquin Provincial Park looking for loons in my canoe I found a common merganser with three young ducklings. I followed them at a distance as they hunted for small fish. Eventually they climbed out on the rocky shoreline where one of them leaned forward for a nice neck stretch with it's stubby little wings held above it's back, as the other ducklings did some grooming.
