Description
While out working in my garden I heard several different birds nearby in a grove of trees. So I decided to see what was going down. I found several fresh sap wells made by the Yellow Bellied Sapsucker. There were several different birds each taking turns at the sap wells. There were Black Capped Chickadees, Yellow Rumped Warblers, House Wrens, Robins, and Downy Woodpeckers. All of them enjoying the bugs that were drawn to the sweet sap wells. It was very cool to watch the different species all take turns.
