Heather Mellon

What a great idea and this deer is obviously enjoying it's Halloween treat. It's a treat to view a scene like this and you captured it beautifully!

Debra Plett

Thank you for the feedback Heather. Most of the pumpkins that have been distributed throughout the park are now gone. There is a few shells left that the Chick-a-dees will pick away at. Nothing goes to waste.

Harold Fleming

The nose knows, Debra. That goes for the deer and the photographer. Very nice

Description
After Halloween is over the White-tailed Deer in Birds Hill Park are treated to pumpkin. The deer will eat both the seed and the pulp. Pumpkins can be seen on trails that the deer will pass through on daily. Most pumpkins are placed far enough off the main road to protect the deer and the drivers.
