I am going through your gallery. How I missed I do not know... but I just noticed the roe coming out. In the Great Bay with the Kermode Bears .... they threw the males back !!! AMAZING. They only took the females and ate the roe and the 'brains'... then on to another female salmon.
Jenny, it was a learning experience being in Bella Coola for the first time. Already talking about next year. I posted this one basically to show the salmon roe coming from the fish. The bears were starting to be selective for their dinner meal.
