I am a self-taught photographer born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. An entrepreneur at heart, I have been working for myself for over 30 years. A combination of passion, perseverance, underpinned by creativity, I can frequently be found photographing a variety of subjects from wildlife to fashion, portraits, real estate to corporate events and dogs! My true inspiration is cityscape and landscape photography. Landscape photography for me is where I feel the most at ease. Being out in nature and exploring different parts of Eastern Canada allows me to relax and be one with my surroundings. I enjoy capturing the countryside or poking around in a small village or town. The discovery process is endless when I am living through my camera lens. When I am not on the road, I turn my focus to my hometown. An urban woman on the outside and a nature lover on the inside gives me an edge for looking at my surroundings with a unique perspective. Architectural structures, to city views and street life, I enjoy immortalizing images of the city that tell a story. Often I use different techniques such as HDR. This requires many different exposures of the same image and merging them into one. This process creates a surreal effect giving a magical quality to the final photograph. These images have an even greater impact when printed on metal or mounted to acrylic. Photography is a visual love affair with life. Isolating and framing a part of the world in a photograph is to evoke an emotion, represent a city or landscape and in the end, tell my story.
