Thanks Paul, I was so intrigued by the four petals on this Trillium that I never thought to pay attention to how many leaves. I will have to look at the leaves when I go back one more time to look at it before it dies off for the season and I will also get a grid coordinate to find it easily again next year, maybe there will be more of these!

As far as I know it is a first year male Moosehome, they don't become completely white until fully matured. :)

@moosehome http://photoclub.canadiangeographic.ca/profile/18883616 . They do have to come down from the safety of their trees to hunt for food occasionally. Some of their diet includes mice, hare, shrews, fish, crayfish and carrion, which they must come down out of the trees to get. This one was just a few feet away from a tree and they can move pretty darn fast.
