This JR. I named him and his siblings because I've been watching their antics since they were about a week old. This Great Blue Heron fledgling is now almost as big as its parent and is constantly doing wing calisthenics in preparation for the day it leaves the nest for good.

Thanks, Jeff. I can't believe how quickly they are growing. I think the two older ones will fledge by Friday. I would have liked to have had Big Bertha with me. She's my Tamron 150-600mm lens. But I'm not getting the clarity with it that I can with my Tamron 70-300mm.
