Slipping The Surly Bonds of Earth

by trishard from Courtenay, CA on 15 May 2018

I waited for two hours last night, silently urging this bald eagle to take off from his perch atop a sail boat's mast. As the temperatures rose to 32C my patience was running very thin. However, just when I had given up all hope, he took to the air. I only managed to capture two shots; one of him just leaving the mast and this one.
