A barn owl hunting in the end of day light. Barn owls are a species of concern in British Columbia but will soon be listed to threatened by our Federal Government. The main reasons of their decline being habitat loss, rodenticides and vehicle collisions. I hope when they are given more protection the species will be able to make a comeback.

Sadly Barn owls are also lifetime mates like Arctic owls, another devastating challenge when one doesn't return to their family. For this reason, owl's are extremely important.
