Sands of Time

by Ryan Wunsch from Leader CA on 02 Apr 2016

The Great Sandhills near Leader Saskatchewan are said to be “living” and the dunes can move up to 13 feet each year. The prevailing winds from the West move them Eastward. These are some of the branches of an old tree which have been covered by the sand over time. This tree used to be a popular picnic spot and a good place to have a party back in the day. The sand continues to move and has now exposed some of the branches that were once buried.
