Heather Mellon

What a great shot Yves. Lots of impressive detail here which makes the flower appear to be much larger.

Yves Langlois

Thank you Heather. I don't have a macro lens but if the shot is taken well, the 61mpx and the good quality lens of the 800mm allow for a croping that looks quite like a good macro shot.

Debra Plett

Wow this is quite a special capture Yves. Amazing detail and focus on the flower with such a nice bokeh. Well done.

Yves Langlois

Thanks Debra, your feedback is well appreciated.

Description
Magnifying a very tiny subject to showcase its beautyness is always a great pleasure. This ring shape flower of an American mint plant is about 10mm in diameter. The plant itself is about 80mm tall. Along the trail people won't notice it but if you take the time, if you come down to its level, you will discovers that marvellous ring bouquet of lily like flowers (and more).
