Mallards, with their vibrant plumage and distinctive quacks, are perhaps the most recognizable and widely distributed ducks in the world. Drakes (male mallards) are known for their striking iridescent green heads, yellow bills, and chestnut-brown chests. I was quite taken with this fella's colors
