Nice shot, Yves. The shadow and sun almost cut the photo in half, but it adds to the composition. Nice to get the heron in the sun.
Thanks Jane. I believe Mother Nature has put in the heron a desire to perched right there (just for me to make a better shot) but don't tell anyone.
Very nice shot of the heron and surrounding trees Yves. The light streaming through the trees really lights up the center to left side of the composition. Nice contrast to the shadow on the right. Very nice find and capture.
Thank you for the nice comment Debra. There is someting I like very much about the heron standing on the edge of the shadow, nicely lighted, and looking at the vastness of its world.
The heron stands out nicely here in the sunlight against the lush greenery surrounding him. This tree looks like a perfect resting spot for him with a good view of the river nearby and lots of clearance too. Smart bird. Great shot, Yves.
Thank you Heather. The feeling of vastness is more intense in the original picture. because it shows a very long part of the forest to the left of the photo. But the scene was so far away that I needed to crop,
