Holding his own in the fast moving water is what I notice first about this lovely shot. Very nice tones and textures of the river with a real sense of motion. Very well captured, Debra.

Thanks Heather. I was trying to get down a bit lower but I was afraid of scaring off the bird. I was excited to see him standing in the current.

Clifford Dupuis

Nice environmental capture of this bird. Nicely done Debra

Debra Plett

Thanks very much Clifford.

Jane LeBlanc

Great shot, Debra. I love how the bird is so still with all the movement around it.

Debra Plett

Thanks very much Jane. I was rushing hoping that I would at least get one shot in before the bird moved out of the rapidly moving water.

Yves Langlois

Beautyful bird Debra. Lot of details and texture on this shot. I use to see the smaler sandpiper. The rushing waters and rocks gives a nice surrounding to the big bird. Very nice catch.

Debra Plett

Thanks very much Yves. I was quite happy to find a Greater Yellowlegs and even more so with the bird standing in the rippling water.
