Thanks Heather. Yes, they are quite smart and solve problems prety much like us. Like many human family there is a lonesome one, feeling much different than the others that like to work his way apart from the others.

Description
The family of 4 ducklings came in from the stand still water of a bypass in the river(botom of photo). The mother wants the kids to climb up to the main stream of the river (top of the photo). Here one look interested to climb on the left side while the three others choose to make the step on the right side. Of course during all the processing they often stop to lunch on algea and moss
