The lush greenery on the tamarack brings out the tones and markings on the grouse perfectly here, Debra. Great focus and detail here too.

I I am sure the spruce grouse love the softness of the tamarack trees. As well as Kuching on the tree it is not unusual to see them curled up resting in the tree.

Thanks very much for commenting Heather.

Great catch Debra. Agree with Jane about the tamarack. One of the tree I appreciate to have in my photos. Great focus on the front goose showing beautyful markings with the touch of red over the eye. Well done.

Debra Plett

Thanks Yves, I was hoping for the other bird to lift her head but she was very intent on eating.

Jane LeBlanc

I love the texture of the tamarack against that of the birds. Very cool, Debra.

Debra Plett

Thanks Jane.
