Clifford Dupuis

Wow what a nice close up with great detail and composition

Yves Langlois

Thank you very much Clifford. I am getting used to it now but beeing close to the subject with the 800mm means a very short DOF. I like the chalenge.

Heather Mellon

I love the mottled colours on the butterfly and it's easy to see why you love the raspberry blossom.. it's absolutely gorgeous. It's very similar to the blossoms on my pin cherry trees. Great close up shot in every detail, Yves.

Yves Langlois

Thank you Heather. So happy that the period for that kind of pleasure is just starting and will last a few months.

Jane LeBlanc

That's what you call a head shot, Yves. Nice!!

Yves Langlois

Thanks Jane. First encounter with that tiny butterfly. Composing a shot like that one is always a delight.

Debra Plett

Simply beautiful Yves. I love the angle of the flower, very interesting composition.

Yves Langlois

Thanks for the appreciated comment Debra. The rasberry flower is one of my top model to accompany a butterfly or an insect.

Description
Not so sure of the identification but I guess it's a syngrapha rectangula butterfly on a beautyful rasberry flower.
