What an incredible moment it was seeing this precisely camouflaged Great Horned Owl and one of her curious owlets.
I'm a little obsessed with admiring old trees while out hiking. The stark beauty of their gnarled branches, distinguished curves, and hollowed out crevices, it's like nature's weathered art. Had I not been earnestly gazing at this particular tree, I never would have noticed these magnificent creatures hiding within.
