Great shot Debra. She's beautiful and stands out very nicely among the frost covered branches. I've only seen one of these woodies and had a very close-up view of him but without a camera handy. They're very impressive birds and you captured that perfectly here.

Isn’t that the way, an opportunity arises and no camera around. Beautiful to just watch them though. I was glad that we had some hoar-frost to change up the composition a bit from the other images. The black and red body stood out nicely against the white. Thanks ver much for commenting Heather always appreciated. Have a great 2023.
I agree with Clifford about being an amazing bird. I had one in my yard for years, then no more. Well captures with all those branches.
Great job, Debra. I have trouble with a dark subject up against bright backgrounds. Nice detail.
Thx very much for your feedback Jane, I sometimes have trouble as well. I changed a few camera settings I am going to go back and see if one of the changes is what is making the difference.
