Description
On my way home on October 30th I decided to check the lake for the Trumpeters and came across a large group of them just before the approach of sunset. I quickly took a few photos of this family with four young cygnets and decided to return the next day to get more shots in better light. Next day I found they had left and located them on another small lake which is difficult to access. Shortly before freeze up they returned to this lake to prepare for the next leg of their migration journey. I think Bernard Hamm who worked so hard in this region to help preserve these swans from extinction, would be very pleased with the progress they've made.
