Yes that is what I thought as well, thank you Jeff.

You pic the big buck in a very nice pose, showing its beautyful antlers in the sunlight. He look fat and healthy. Will sure get the best of the harem. The simple compo with green tree and golden grass is magical. I am glad you have opportunity for shots so beautyful.

Yes I think this buck will be in demand this fall. I have not seen too many bucks this year even the little ones. Thanks Yves for your comments they are always appreciated and I try to learn from them.

Heather Mellon

He stands out beautifully against the grasses and dark trees here, lovely composition and detail of the buck too, Debra. Judging by that pose he's a busy boy these days and you've captured the moment and mood perfectly. Great shot.

Debra Plett

I do believe you are right Heather. He probably will stand his ground successfully against a few bucks this fall. Thank you Heather for your comments they are always welcome and appreciated.

Clifford Dupuis

What a great shot of this very healthy looking buck..well done

Debra Plett

Thx very much Clifford your comments are always appreciated. I was quite excited when he backed out from under the tree to see just how mature this buck was.

Description
I first spotted this buck sniffing around under the spruce tree beside him. When he stood up he was looking a little tired but regardless he was on a mission to find the Doe that had left that scent for him. He allowed me a few moments to capture a couple of shots of him before he continued on with his tracking.
