Beautiful tones and detail in this shot Yves. Very nice focus and detail on the geese as they get ready to start the day and I really like the sense of a misty autumn sunrise mood you captured here. I see you got caught behind one of those mega uploads, all 58 of them.

Thank you for the nice coments Heather. I am quite satisfied of the autumn shots I have done recently. Mega upload just adds up to all sorts of advertising. I decided not to quit fo that and I am getting quite insensitive to it now. BUT I MAKE A POINT TO GIVE NO VIEWS TO A SERIE OF MORE THAN 4 SHOTS. (wishing other members will do the same)

The colours are stupendous ! Actually they are very similar to my shot I posted today. I love this shot of yours Yves.

Yves Langlois

Thank you Jenny. That site on the Magog river is one of my favorite for autumn photo. The river is not too wide, Trees on the opposite side are tall, mature and very colorful. In the morning the sunlight comes from my back left side.

Clifford Dupuis

This is a great shot. The light is awesome on the far geese and the dark light on the near ones provides nice depth to the shot. Also I like the fall colours on the far side and the beautiful reflections. Very nicely captured

Yves Langlois

Thanks Clifford. You are right about the poor lighting of the foreground. If I follow your thinking, A problem can be a good thing. We just need to look it the positive way.

As the saying goes, “The early bird gets the worm”. Very nice early morning fall capture highlighting migration at its best. The reflecting colour surrounding the geese as they start to get restless draws one into the scenery. I really wish this time of year lasted a lot longer. Nicely captured Yves.

Thank you for the comments Dabra. Unfortunately the bottom part of the picture is too poorly lighted to show details. Geese were forming a group, than they do noise and kwaking and finaly take fly and go away. None the less, it was a nice experience. group

Description
I came in before the sun showed up and got ready to capture some shots at the geese waking up in the morning. At last, the first rays of sun illuminated the autumn colours but just the far half of the river. My side of the river was still in awhefull lighting situation and every few minutes a group of geese fly away to breakfast somewhere else. My chances of doing some geese in flight finaly vanished without any real good shots.
