An awesome capture of the light glowing through the wings of the butterfly. You caught the glow perfectly and the composition and background detail sets it off beautifully here.

Thanks Heather. I am doing a lot of those shot actualy. Country fields are at their best with wild flowers and butterfly. A marvellous moment of the year for the photographer.

Very special shot Yves. I love the contrast between light and shadow and the delicacy that the whole image portrays.

Description
Always a pleasure to shoot bright colors of nature through the transparency of butterfly wings or flower petals. The glowing yellow of the flowers is the usual reflection of the bright sun on the subject. The butterfly wings are under a backlight situation and should show not much colors. Their brightness is the sunlight passing through the transparency of he membrane. That kind of glowing has a very special beauty.
