Jeff

it is a very strong looking building in it looking down on you gothic look

Heather Mellon

You captured the beauty of the Chateau so well here. Wonderful detail against a sublime sky featuring the turrets and stairway effect of the windows, which give it so much character. Very well done and I appreciate your narrative Yves, well said.

Yves Langlois

Thank you so much Heather. Not so confident with these kind of shot. I just do it the same way I do birds, flower and butterfly. Quite proud of that result.

Debra Plett

Great shot of this historic building Yves. The angle really gives the building a towering feel. I like your narrative as well.

Yves Langlois

Thanks Debra. Yes, it look like a common castle in France. May be I have acquired the photographer's instinct. The moment I saw that scene I knew it was a good and meaningful image. This is not done with the usual 400mm but with my recent buy - the SONY HX99. It is a pocket size with exactly the same function as the SLT35(400mm). But a lot more practical for touristic situation.

Clifford Dupuis

So sad how this whole situation has evolved. The Chateau is an awesome building and so glad we had the opportunity to explore this amazing structure.

Clifford Dupuis

Also I like how you captured this huge building with such detail. Well done

Yves Langlois

Religion (from the latin religare = to link to) is a marvellous thing. The way some poeple use it is terrible. Here the château is seen from east side. The usual front view shows a huge building. Sory, I never do usual picture.

Clifford Dupuis

It is always nice to see a popular photo op from a different perspective. Way to go Yves

Yves Langlois

😉😉😉

Description
Château Frontenac in Québec city. Testimony of our glorious past. Canada in the making by the europeen collonisation started here. A century ago the statue stood proudly. A recall that Catholic church took a big role in the processing. Today the statue hide in the shadow, shame for what we are discovering about that past.
