Excellent capture of the textures and detail in this very unique but beautiful and challenging landscape. Love the Bluebird too. So well done Clifford.

Clifford Dupuis

Thanks Heather, the subject and lighting were quite a challenge but the bluebird was the icing on the cake

Debra Plett

Awesome capture Clifford. The landscape is so interesting and I am sure has a wealth of history and stories. The colour and texture in the shot are amazing. So nice that you have the added touch of the Mountain Bluebird. I will have to add this area to my bucket list to visit.

Clifford Dupuis

Thanks so much Debra and adding this to your bucket list will not disappoint you

Yves Langlois

I love the way you compose the scene to present us those magnificent hoodoos. You certainly have a great comprehension of light behavior. That allow you to get so nice the chalenge of those white surfaces under a harsh sun. For me the bird is not a hazard but Mother Nature's real action in your life. She put it there just for you to add someting exceptional to your shot. Glad you have that strong relation with Her.

Clifford Dupuis

Thank you Yves, and yes the bird was a awesome surprise and much appreciated

Jane LeBlanc

Clifford Dupuis

Thank you so much Jane, much appreciated

Description
These gentle giants just east of Drumheller, Alberta were formed many millions of years ago. Today these 20-foot marvels are a Protected Historical Site in Canada’s Badlands, And a Mountain Bluebird was happy to sing to me from high on his protected perch.
