I remember the photo of your cat and she's beautiful too Jeff. I hope some day I'll be able to groom Blackie too and pamper her a little. They all thrive on attention don't they.

Debra Plett

Awe what a special cat and image this is Heather. It looks like a lot of TLC goes into grooming your friend and by the pose I would say he/she aims to please as well. Fantastic composition, colour, detail…focus. I agree with Yves this is cover photo calibre.

Heather Mellon

Thank you Debra. She sure is special and I only wish I could handle her more but she is still not fully tame. She's one of the feral kittens I inherited last year and decided to keep and get spayed because she's such a nice natured cat. And she's the best poser I ever came across too :)

Debra Plett

it looks like you have done wonders with her. She probably appreciates having an owner like you. Good stuff Heather.

Heather Mellon

Thank you so much Debra. I feel lucky to have her too.

Yves Langlois

No doubts, good for a cover page. Even with that dense background the cat pop up nicely. It is clear that the model knows the photographer. and how to pose for a cover page. The cat has a very nice patern of black and white. Sharp focus shows nicely those hairs. Very good one Heather.

Heather Mellon

Thank you Yves. You're absolutely right, she does know me and even though she is still not fully tame she's really comfortable posing for the camera which is a little unusual. My dog is camera shy so I especially appreciate Blackie's cooperation. She helps keep me in practice too :)

Clifford Dupuis

Great pic heather, detail colors and bokeh are all excellent

Heather Mellon

Thank you Clifford. She likes climbing this tower poplar in the background and had just come down from it, offering me all I needed for this shot.
