Great composition and action shot Yves. I tend to notice lines and this image my eye is drawn to the V-shape of the wings intersecting over the V-shape of the tree branch. Very appealing Yves.

Yves Langlois

I love that shot because it is so unusual. Greatly appreciate your tendency to notice lines. You have a very good point on that. This is the kind of comment I would have received from a judge in a contest. I do appreciate it so much.

It's a treat to see the back view of an eagle and I must say the tail feathers are impressive. Very nice action shot Yves and great timing too.

Yves Langlois

An unusual shot is my bread and butter. Always a delight. Yes, we rarely see the tail that long. The bird lokks a bit weird but it demonstrate its flexibility.

Clifford Dupuis

This is a most interesting shot depicting the detail in the feathers so well.

Yves Langlois

Thank you so much for the comment Clifford. I was quite amazed to see that shot too.

Description
Big bald eagle just grabbed the tree. Unusual pose showing that certain moves of the bird ruffle its feathers a lot. This shot was taken in burst mode (which for my camera is 1/500 - f8) . Sharpness is not as good but at least it gives fair shots. Following the action in usual single mode shooting (1/1500 - f8) would have probabily result in no good shots at all.
