Heather Mellon

Love how you caught the sunlight on the wings, it brings out a lot of detail. He has such an impressive wingspan and you captured that very well here. Great shot Yves!

Yves Langlois

You are right on that Heather. Backlight produce special detailing on almost everything, specialy feathers due to their transparency.

Debra Plett

This shot really shows just how long and impressive their wingspan is. GREAT SHOT Yves.

Yves Langlois

Thanks Debra. This is the purpose of presenting that photo. Due to the shadow under gliding birds it can not be a beautyful colored shot. But it sure is a impressive one.

Jenny Stevens

Another great shot Yves.

Yves Langlois

Thanks Jenny

Description
They are quite common around here so I have seen many so far, but always flying too high for a good shot. Recently I went to North Hatley village and had the nice surprise of seeing that one circling at an acceptable height over the marina. I was ready.
