Yes, they can be very interesting and a lot of fun to watch.

A very unique and interesting capture of dynamics in this Osprey family. I love the expressions you captured on both the birds, especially of Junior tapping his foot. Very cool capture and series that was a joy to view. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Thanks for your comments Heather, I do enjoy getting to know the family dynamics. If he hadn’t been chirping so much I would have not thought too much about the foot tapping but he was definitely trying to get a rise out of dad.

Meaningful shot Debra. Goes perfect with the story. The important for me is less the detailing but the attitude of the two birds. And you caught them in a meaningful pose. Dad make the usual show but he doesn't seem too confident in his power. The kid shows he can fight the guy, but he will respect old dad for now. Thanks for that nice story and photos Debra.

Debra Plett

Thanks Yves, yes this shot was all about the attitudes and family dynamics. It was a great time at the nest.

Description
The juvenile Osprey on the right was not afraid to show his spirt and desire to grab the fish to good old dad. He was making a lot of noise and tapped his foot quite a few time. Dad just starred at him as if to say wait your turn.
