I love a country view like this and the eagle adds a special element to the image. Nice focus on the points of interest on such a long shot of the hill top against a moody looking background sky. Very nicely captured Debra.

Thank you Heather. I Ike this time of year when the hay bales add so much interest to the landscape. I find that wildlife likes to stay close to these bales.

Jenny Stevens

Gorgeous composition to this shot. The eagle is a bonus to the comp. Sky is grand looking. This photo really draws your eyes in.

Thank you Jenny. This is a nice time of year for landscape shots in Manitoba. The eagle was the icing on the cake.

Great compo here Debra. Lighting on the hay bale is dam perfect and the darker cloudy sky really enhence the subject. Agree with you all the way about pairing one element of nature (landcape) with another (living animal ). This is true for flowers and insects, a beautyful sky needs birds in it, and so forth.

Thanks for your comments Yves. One of those unplanned but grateful to Mother Nature shots. Driving along and you are given an opportunity to enjoy and try to catch a photograph.

Description
A juvenile Bald Eagle sits on a freshly baled hay along the Red River Floodway looking and watching his mom soar with the wind. When I noticed the hay bales I started to watch for wildlife/birds around the bales. Always nice to get a landscape shot that includes another element of life.
