great capture of that beautyful bird Heather. The compo here is just amazing.Just a little green on the top left, the bird standing on dead branches and a dark background. Just perfect. And you got it very sharp..

Thank you so much Yves. At first I was disappointed he landed on those dead branches but your comment makes me see the qualities that you pointed out.. and I really appreciate that.

Thank you Jenny, much appreciated.

Nice sharp focus on the little bird Heather. The depth of field used really makes the foreground stands out nicely from the background. I like the green leaves in the top of the frame pointing down to the bird. Nicely captured Heather.

Thank you so much Debra. For some reason the birds around here like to land on bare branches and they aren't always very appealing. The most interesting part was finding a name for this bird which was a first sighting for me.

Description
Sometimes you get lucky and a bird flies into your frame. That was the easy part for me since it's a bird I wasn't familiar with and it took a while to identify it. The mottled breast feathers made me think of the Thrush family and the face resembled that of a Vireo. And it turns out that it's a larger sized member of the Warbler family.
